Bazaar 'General' Chairperson
The St. Ann’s Bazaar is a major fundraiser for the Parish. In order to make it a successful event, we need a significant amount of volunteers to handle the many tasks that have to be completed, before, during and after this event. The ‘General ‘Chairperson is responsible for obtaining the Sub-chairperson volunteers, clarifying their specific roles and responsibilities of each of the Sub-chairpersons, and coordinating the responsibilities of their participation. The ‘General’ Chairperson will be responsible for making decisions related to this event and to direct the Bazaar with his/her own special talent, acting always in the best interest of the Parish. All Sub-chairpersons are automatically members of the Bazaar Planning/Steering Committee. Pre-Bazaar Planning/Steering Committee meetings are kept to a minimum. MANY volunteers are always needed!
Sub-chairperson activities include; Vendor Chairperson, Floor Walker/Huckster, Public Relations, Kitchen, Country Store, Knitting, Volunteer Coordinator, Staff Liaison, Kids Booth, Coordinator of Finance, Raffle, Pot of Gold, New Prize Table, Theme Basket Table, Fudge (sold at Country Store), Set-up/Clean-up.

Eucharistic Ministers

Finance Committee
The Finance Committee advises the pastor on the various financial matters impacting the parish. These include the annual parish operating budget, financial reporting to the parish, capital maintenance planning for parish facilities, banking and investment decisions, and parish account procedures. Members of the Finance Committee generally have an interest in and strong knowledge of financial matters. The committee meets at least once a month year round for approximately two hours.

Gift Bearers
The Gift Bearer Ministry is composed of any member of our parish community who attends Mass, volunteers, or are invited to bring the gifts of bread and wine to the altar. You may volunteer for this Ministry at any Mass that is not dedicated in memorial of a specific parishioner or where no one rises to present the gifts.
If you are interested in dedicating a Mass in memory of an individual, please contact the Parish Office, 978-535-1985.
Homebound Ministry
On the third Sunday of each month, the homebound ministers gather at the 8:30 AM Mass. They attend Mass, obtain Holy Communion for the homebound, and receive a blessing from the priest presider. They then bring the Eucharist to our homebound recipients, say a short prayer or an appropriate reading, provide them with a church bulletin, and have a brief visit. Training is necessary. The training program is for a couple of hours once a week for four to six weeks. After the training, the only involvement is a couple of hours once a month and an occasional meeting, maybe once a year.
If you are interested in volunteering for this Ministry, please contact the Parish Office, 978-535-1985.
Lectors
The Lector proclaims the Word of God in Scripture during Mass and at other liturgies throughout the year. Each Lector would be scheduled to read about once per month and would prepare the readings in advance of the scheduled reading. A new Lector would attend at least two training sessions at St. Ann’s and receive a Lector’s manual. The new Lector would then be scheduled with a veteran Lector to experience a Lector’s duties during the liturgy.
If you are interested in volunteering for this Ministry, please contact the Parish Office, 978-535-1985.
Liturgy Committee
This committee coordinates arrangements for different liturgies and prayer experiences throughout the year, and promotes ‘parish wide’ liturgical functions for our diverse community. The special gifts of cultural diversity provide a welcome challenge for us.

Parish Pastoral Council
The Parish Pastoral Council meets to discuss current issues and activities concerning the parish and to plan for the future of parish life. The PPC serves as an advisory committee to the Pastor. PPC members meet with the pastor monthly from September or October thru May, generally on the third Monday of the month at 7 P.M. Nominations and elections are held each spring to elect new Parish Council members. Parishioners may nominate themselves or someone they believe would be an asset to the council. When an individual accepts the nomination, his or her name will be added to the ballot for voting, which usually takes place over a May weekend. A term for a PPC member is three years. A member may run for re-election, but they can only serve for two consecutive terms. No training is needed, only a desire to help the parish remain vital and active. The duration of PPC Meetings is normally less than one hour, but they could extend to two hours when needed.
